Review. MP3 Word of Promise Audio Bible.

I received the Word of Promise next generation in the mail and quickly reached for my mp3 player. Transferring the files came with ease, even for those of us who are technically challenged.

The dramatic audio Bible was captivating. I loved the multiple voices doing the reading. It really helped me stay focused on the words being spoken. There were some characters, however, that seemed to sound way too young for the voice which read the part.

Overall I found it to be a delightful way to continue in the Word. The 40 day listening program is a plus for anyone hoping to get on schedule with the things of God. The added advantage to use mp3 player, computer and even take my portable dvd player into my quiet times was another feature I like.

I love the Word of God, in any form it is delivered, and Thomas Nelson has broadened my horizons with this audio version. The dvd touched my heart as well. Hearing these young people share their love of the Word brought tears to my eyes. The digitally connected generation may shy away from carrying a leather bound Bible in public but secretly hidden in mp3 format allows them to gird up their loins in a readily accessible way.
